How to Reduce Remakes, Redos, and Clinical Inefficiencies

Few things are more frustrating than redoing work that should have been completed correctly the first time. Remakes and redos not only cost time and money, but they also impact patient confidence and create unnecessary pressure for the entire dental team.

The root of these issues is often found in consistency. When processes vary from one procedure to the next, the likelihood of errors increases. Standardizing techniques and workflows helps create predictable outcomes while making it easier for team members to understand expectations.

Communication within the team plays a role as well. Clear instructions between the dentist, assistant, and lab reduce misunderstandings and improve efficiency. When everyone is aligned, the process becomes smoother from preparation through completion.

Attention to detail during preparation can prevent many problems. Taking the time to ensure accuracy at each step reduces the need for correction later. While it may feel slower in the moment, it saves time overall and creates a better experience for both the team and patients.

Reviewing patterns can also provide insight. If certain types of procedures frequently require adjustments, it may indicate an opportunity for improvement. Identifying these trends allows for targeted changes rather than temporary fixes.

Reducing inefficiencies is not about perfection. It is about creating systems that support consistent results and minimize unnecessary repetition. A strong process allows the team to work with greater confidence, improve productivity, and deliver a level of care.

Small improvements made consistently can have a significant impact over time. By focusing on communication, standardization, and preparation, practices can reduce remakes while creating a more efficient environment.

Blu Dot surpasses 2,000% ROAS with self-serve CTV ads

Home furniture brand Blu Dot blew up on CTV with help from Roku Ads Manager. Here’s how:

After a test campaign reached 211,000 households and achieved 1,010% ROAS, the brand went all in to promote its annual sales event. It removed age and income constraints to expand reach and shifted budget to custom audiences and retargeting, where intent was strongest.

The results speak for themselves. As Blu Dot increased their investment by 10x, ROAS jumped to 2,308% and more page-view conversions surpassed 50,000.

“For CTV campaigns, Roku has been a top performer,” said Claire Folkestad, Paid Media Strategist, Blu Dot. “Comping to our other platforms, we have seen really strong ROAS… and highly efficient CPMs, lower than any other CTV partner we've worked with.”

Using Roku Ads Manager, the campaign moved from a pilot to a permanent performance engine for the brand.
